The Senior Party Chief runs the project from the Field Side from beginning to end controlling the pace and budgets. The PLS is required to build client rapport, meet project budget goals and monitor the status of the work of others on completing field operations.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead project in the field and bring concerns to the table.
Effectively develop the project approach and lead the team in the field
Able to perform Boundary analysis in the field and set property corners
Ability to Calculate Grades of Plan Profile Sheets
Ability to calculate stake out points from Plan Profile sheets.
Ability to Calculate Grades off of Grading Plan
Ability to Calibrate GPS in the field correctly using proper procedures
Thorough working knowledge of Trimble GPS Receivers, Trimble S7’s and TSC 2 & 3
Maintain project schedule and budget by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities and resolving problems.
Prepare project field status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information; recommending actions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

PLS in Colorado
Minimum of 10 years of field experience as a PLS in the field

KEY COMPETENCIES

Ability to work on multiple projects effectively
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to operate the latest Technology in the Field
Proficient in Trimble Business Center
Knowledgeable in AutoCAD software including Civil 3D applications
Proficient in Trimble Survey Controller / Trimble Access
