Electrical Engineer – Oil and Gas

This position requires significant experience in the energy industry (oil and gas, refinery, mining, power plant). Must have the ability to perform electrical design and engineering functions for pipeline pumping and compressor stations, liquid and gas storage plants and metering facilities in accordance with applicable codes and standards such as NEC, IEEE and other electrical codes and standards

REQUIRED SKILLS/JOB DESCRIPTION
A. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
B. Minimum 10-15 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
C. Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering design for the Oil and Gas industry (natural gas compressor stations and treating facility design)
D. Professional Registration or ability to obtain registration within one year
E. Perform detailed design development including one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, power and lighting design, develop construction details, electrical equipment specifications, and perform electrical studies
F. Apply standard engineering concepts to project design tasks
G. Exhibit working knowledge of applicable codes and standards
H. Provide design guidance to electrical designers and drafters
I. Coordinate details and design criteria with other engineering disciplines
J. Prepare engineering reports, studies, calculations and check drawings for completeness and accuracy
K. Assist with project electrical design duties and advise Project Manager of design issues, concerns, and/or required changes, L. Develop scope of work detail documents
M. Prepare detail design deliverable, milestones, and man-hour estimates

DESIRED SKILLS
A. Electrical Calculation software (SKM, ETAP)
B. Electrical project commission and construction experience
C. Experience in Instrumentation and Controls
